Welcome to Laura Wilson School of Dance
Founded in 2002, Laura Wilson School of Dance, now based in its own dedicated studios in Holmes Chapel, teaches over 350 students a week across a range of disciplines.
The main focus of our school is for students to have fun whilst developing an appreciation for music, movement and dance.
We teach dance at all levels to children aged from 4-18 as well as adult classes, and we regularly host performances in local theatres and other venues. We also prepare our students for higher-level auditions, with a number of former students successfully entering the English Youth Ballet and Northern Ballet Theatre School.
All students are given the opportunity to take internationally recognised exams with the Royal Academy of Dance
(RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD)
"Laura and her fantastic LSWD staff provided opportunities for my daughter to perform and discover a range of dance styles and a particular passion for ballet."
"When my daughter first started dance, she was quiet and stage-shy, but was greeted by Laura and her team with kindness, encouragement and love as she began her dancing journey. Laura nurtured her through her early grades, developing confidence and a love of dance that will last a lifetime."
"My daughter performed with the LWSD in two wonderful lower school shows, one senior school show and she had the opportunity to train with the Cheshire Youth Ballet, LWSD’s associate program. Dancing with CYB allowed her to further develop as a ballerina and perform at the Regent Theatre in the Dance 020 festival."
"My Daughter was given a brilliant start to her dance journey at LWSD, building confidence and passion within her as a performer and happiness within herself as a dancer in such a friendly and nurturing school."
"Laura encouraged my daughter to audition for the Royal Ballet School Junior Associates and after lots of help and preparation she was accepted onto the course. This was an incredible opportunity which would not have been possible without the belief and support from Laura and her LWSD staff."
